CPC Brooklyn Community Center Celebrates the Year of the Rooster

On Saturday, February 11th, 2017 CPC Brooklyn Community Services held their Annual Lunar New Year Celebration at the beautifully decorated P.S.310. Families from all around the neighborhood poured in to enjoy the community event celebrating the Year of the Rooster. There were giveaways, games and activities for everyone!

CPC Brooklyn Community Services also held their 3rd Annual Kid’s Traditional Costume Contest, featuring 20 amazing children all showcasing their stunning costumes and radiating both confidence and pride in their culture. Congratulations to our winners Carla Li (1st Place), Sarah Li (2nd Place) and Pheobe Huang (3rd Place)!

Families were also able to enjoy an interactive “chicken” dance, a paper lantern making contest and a high competitive rice ball making contest in celebration of the Lunar New Year "Day of the Lantern Festival".

Special thanks to NY State Assistant Speaker Felix Oritz; NY State Senator Jesse Hamilton; NY State Assemblymembers Peter Abbate and William Colton; NY City Councilmembers Mark Treyger, Vincent Gentile and Carlos Menchaca; and District Leader Nancy Tong for joining our festivities and for their support.

CPC also expresses our deepest thanks to our hard working sponsors who deliver valuable community resources alongside CPC: Affinity Health Plan; Eastman Real Estate; Empire BlueCross BlueShield Health Plus; First American International Bank; Mass Mutual; Park Asia; Peking Food LLC; Royal King; Senior Whole Health; and United Healthcare and Visiting Nurse Service of New York Choice Health Plans.
