In December, students from our Homecrest SACCC at P.S. 153 after-school program entered into Department of Youth and Community Development's Recipe Rescue culinary competition. Students were challenged to create a healthier version of their choice of an original family recipe.
On February 1, 2018, ten students from the Adult Literacy Program’s advanced-level ESOL/Civics class of the Education and Career Services Division had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA).
Redefining an established nonprofit for a new generation can be a daunting task. New services need planning, established constituencies have to make room for new ones and organization leaders have to respect the voices of long-serving staffers while charting a path forward.
