CPC LEAD Students Perform Holiday Concert at Hong Ning Housing for the Elderly

CPC’s Learn. Excel. Advocate. Dream. (CPC LEAD) program brought 33 students from the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies to perform at Hong Ning Senior Housing for the Elderly in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Over 50 residents attended the music performance.

On Friday, October 19th, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) hosted another successful Business Exploration Student Track (BEST) Mentorship Program event featuring a Distinguished Spotlight Speaker Series panel with JPMorgan. Lai Ling Li, a Vice President at JPMorgan moderated the "Asian Americans Breaking through the Bamboo Ceiling: Career Strategies & Cultural Barriers Part 2" panel, welcoming three executives to motivate our community members.

The New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene published an article in the Journal of Urban Health about a decline in blood mercury levels. Direct outreach conducted by local community based organizations including CPC may have contributed to these promising results!

CPC BEST Speaker Spotlight Series: Asian American Game Changers in Entrepreneurship and Tech

Four young entrepreneurs discussed their experiences growing their businesses with CPC's BEST program at a panel discussion earlier this month. The discussion on careers was possible with the help of Lai Ling Li, an employee of JPMorgan Chase and a pioneer who launched the Business Exploration Student Track (BEST) Mentorship Program. Titled “Asian-American Game Changers in Entrepreneurship and Technology,” the discussion focused on the underrepresented topic of young Asian entrepreneurs in America.

CPC Promotes Kevin Tse as Deputy Director of Education and Career Services

The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is excited to announce that Kevin Tse has been promoted to Deputy Director of Education and Career Services. In this role, Kevin will manage CPC’s youth services and workforce development programs that serve over 6,200 New Yorkers each year.
