Edgar Pereira, CPC's Chief Program Officer, has been recognized as one of City & State NY's 2026 Above & Beyond: Social Services honorees for his three decades of community service. Pereira began his CPC career over 30 years ago as a teacher's aide and cook at one of CPC’s childcare centers, rising to oversee strategy, operations, and quality assurance across more than 50 programs serving low-income and immigrant New Yorkers. His work spans education, family support, and economic empowerment for children, older adults, and families.
