PG: SAT Recruiting!

Project Gateway will be offering a low-cost, high quality SAT prep program that prepares students for the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing components of the SAT exam. Starting March 30, 2019, the class will meet once a week on Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM for nine weeks.

CPC LEAD Students Perform Holiday Concert at Hong Ning Housing for the Elderly

CPC’s Learn. Excel. Advocate. Dream. (CPC LEAD) program brought 33 students from the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies to perform at Hong Ning Senior Housing for the Elderly in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Over 50 residents attended the music performance.

On Friday, October 19th, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) hosted another successful Business Exploration Student Track (BEST) Mentorship Program event featuring a Distinguished Spotlight Speaker Series panel with JPMorgan Chase. Lai Ling Li, a Vice President at JPMorgan moderated the "Asian Americans Breaking through the Bamboo Ceiling: Career Strategies & Cultural Barriers Part 2" panel, welcoming three executives to motivate our community members.

The New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene published an article in the Journal of Urban Health about a decline in blood mercury levels. Direct outreach conducted by local community based organizations including CPC may have contributed to these promising results!
