On March 27, 2018, CPC and fellow nonprofit leaders gathered to ask the New York City Council Committee on Contracts to support an additional investment of $200 million in their March response to help ensure that contracts for nonprofit human services providers are fully funded. Last year, the City invested $300 million towards this, which was a huge step, yet there is still a long way to go to ensure that nonprofit human services providers are fully funded to serve New Yorkers. Increased funding would help address large concerns in the nonprofit sector, including indirect and fringe benefit reimbursement rates and reconciling the costs of service with actual costs incurred at the end of the city procurement process.

CPC and LiveOn NY specifically testified about the need for 15% indirect costs on human services contracts and a 10% increase in contracts covering occupancy and casualty and liability insurance.
