On Sundary February 10th, CPC Brooklyn Senior's performed a traditional dance at the Inauguration for Senator Zellnor Myrie. CPC Brooklyn's senior dance group was established back in 2013, this group consists of all senior services members, who are self taught and led by a volunteer instructor. The dance team is especially fond of transitional dance and square dance. The senior dance team practice at CPC Brooklyn Community Center all year round. The opportunity to dance is a way to connect to our culture and art form; and help our senior members promote mental and physical wellness. Our senior group have participated in community events and dance contest for the past 5 years. The senior dance team took great pride in performing at Senator Myrie's Inauguration along with a diverse group of performers from throughout Brooklyn.

We'd like to thank Senator Myrie and his team for the invitation to perform as well as congratulate other performers (Berean Community Drumline, Organized Chaos, and Ballet Folklorico)  on a wonderful show.
