Bill Yeung Announced as New Chief Operating Officer of CPC

Yeung Steps into the Inaugural Role at a Pivotal Moment in the Organization’s Nearly 59 Year History

New York, NY - Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC), the nation’s largest Asian American social services organization, announced that Bill Yeung has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Bill has served as the Director of Administrative Affairs at CPC since 2017, managing the agency’s human resources and information technology departments in addition to risk management and various special projects.

Bill began his career at CPC in 2000 as a seasonal staff member for the Summer Youth Employment Program and was promoted within the youth services division before transitioning to operations. Bill also served as the Director of Human Resources, where he led the agency’s workplace digital transformation and was able to parlay limited resources into a fully staffed IT department. His initial connection to the agency began as a participant at CPC’s Little Star Early Childhood Center and Chrystie Street School Age Day Care Center.

“I have been very fortunate and excited to continue working alongside devoted and passionate colleagues who are selflessly dedicated to advancing and transforming our community,” said Bill. “There is no greater honor for me to be part of organization that is a leader in educating, empowering and elevating our community to achieve social and economic mobility.”

“Bill’s CPC story represents the holistic approach and longitudinal impact of our settlement house,” said Wayne Ho, President and CEO of CPC. “From participating in our early childhood program and receiving his first job through our summer youth employment program, to excelling in progressively responsible roles within direct services and agency operations, Bill’s continuity at CPC is a reflection of his commitment to our organizational vision, mission, and core values. I look forward to working with Bill in his new capacity as COO and will lean on his knowledge and experience as we prepare to move into our new flagship headquarters and expand our footprint across New York City.”

A first-generation immigrant, Bill received his Bachelor of Science from SUNY Empire State. Bill currently lives in New York with his wife and two children.
