CPC Hosts “Meet the Artists” Reception Ahead of Carnegie Hall Benefit Recital

On July 31st, CPC hosted a "Meet the Artists" reception at CPC One, featuring Christopher Kuo, a CPC board member, and his mother Michelle Chen Kuo. The event offered a behind-the-scenes preview of their upcoming Two Piano Benefit Recital at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on October 3rd, where they will perform works by Romantic-era masters like Rachmaninoff and Chopin.
"My mother and I are proud to serve the Chinese-American Planning Council by presenting this recital. We believe in the power of music to bring people together through a common language, and we hope to honor CPC’s incredible 60 year legacy through our performance,” said Chris Kuo.
The mother-son duo has leveraged their musical talents for philanthropy and raised over $2.89 million for nonprofits nationwide. CPC is honored to be this year’s beneficiary as we celebrate six decades of serving New York City's communities.
