CPC Partners with Caribbean Equality Project to Advocate for LGBTQIA+ Youth

On September 9th, CPC and the Caribbean Equality Project presented a workshop at the 4th Annual Governor’s LGBTQIA+ Convening in Albany. The session centered on the unique experiences of AAPI communities and explored policy solutions and community-led strategies to address healthcare disparities in New York State.
Gilbert Wu, Director of Community Health Services, and Samantha Kombel, Health Educator Supervisor, represented CPC. They highlighted the need for holistic care, increased mental health resources, equitable funding, and improved data collection to serve youth effectively. Most importantly, the workshop facilitated dialogue on how agencies and community-based organizations can collaborate to better support and protect LGBTQIA+ youth.
