On January 14th, CPC’s Director of Childhood Development Services, Mary Cheng, spoke on a panel at CPC One, organized by the Day Care Council of New York (DCCNY). Joined by representatives from DCCNY and the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York, the discussion centered on the findings of the new report, "Building a Stronger Child Care Workforce for New York City." The report details systemic challenges facing the city's nearly 40,000 child care workers and outlines policy solutions to address the staffing crisis threatening the entire early childhood education system.
