On April 23rd, CPC hosted our first-ever City Legislative Breakfast, bringing together more than 180 elected officials, government agencies, community partners, and staff for a morning of discussion over dim sum. The gathering focused on CPC's policy priorities for the legislative session, including strengthening the human services workforce, investing in community-based support services and immigrant communities, addressing the affordability crisis facing New Yorkers, and building resilient and sustainable social safety net systems.

CPC welcomed a group of elected and agency leaders, including Assemblymember Grace Lee, Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Council Members Gale Brewer, Linda Lee, and Lincoln Restler, DYCD Commissioner Sandra Escamilla-Davies, NYC Emergency Management Commissioner Christina Farrell, DFTA Commissioner Lisa Scott McKenzie, Director of the Mayor's Office of Nonprofit Services Michael Sedillo, and Director of the Mayor's Office of Contract Services Kim Yu.

Thank you also to staff member Marlene Polanco and youth advocates Marcos and JiMeng for sharing their personal stories and advocating for meaningful social change.
