LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (“LVMH”), the Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc. (“CPC”) and Parsons School of Design at The New School (“Parsons”) announce in a press conference their continuing partnership in the LVMH Fundamentals in Luxury Retail: A CPC/Parsons Collaboration. The program provides job training and support to English and Mandarin speaking individuals, who are currently unemployed or underemployed, to learn about luxury retail and help them gain employment in the luxury retail sector. Sucesses in the program for their 2014 pilot year included over 70-percent of graduates being placed in positions, with significant average hourly wage increases. With the stong job placement and wage growth the program will continue in the 2015 year.

Classes for the program in the 2015 year start Monday, March 30th and contains 8 weeks of classroom instruction held at Parsons, followed by a two-week paid internship at an LVMH brand store. The Robin Hood Foundation, New York’s largest poverty-fighting organization, has graciously provided partial funding for this program.

For more information or an opportunity to apply please stop by CPC's Workforce Development Division's information session held every Monday at 9:30 am at 165 Eldridge Street 2nd FL, New York, NY 10002 or contact (212)941-0041.
