CPC Celebrates Opening of 2nd Time Warner Cable Learning Lab

On April 21, 2016, CPC celebrated their latest collaboration with Time Warner Cable (TWC), opening the CPC Queens TWC Learning Lab in the CPC Queens Community Center. This is CPC's second TWC Learning Lab launched with the generous support of Time Warner Cable, providing state-of-the-art technology such as tablets, smart-boards and digital book readers, and high-speed Business Internet and TV services (provided through Time Warner Business Class) to the Queens community. The first TWC Learning Lab opened with CPC is located in the Lower East Side, Manhattan, which serves 3,000 clients a year since its opening in 2012.

"CPC is cutting edge" said Karen La Cava, Director of Community Investment at TWC. The CPC Queens TWC Learning Lab will be the twentieth Learning Lab opened by TWC since the launch of their Learning Lab campaign in 2011.

Janice Won, Interim President & CEO of CPC, said, “We are proud and honored that CPC will be the first community-based organization to receive two Time Warner Cable Learning Labs. There are overwhelming needs in immigrant communities for access to state-of-the-art technology and secure and reliable Internet connection and the TWC Learning Lab in our new Queens Community Center will be a great resource for the Flushing community. CPC and Time Warner Cable will continue to collaborate and innovate to strengthen our communities.”
