CPC, the Fiscal Policy Institute, and over 100 organizations representing labor, policy, social services, and healthcare groups across New York State have united to call for stronger federal protections for the New York Essential Plan. In a joint letter to the state’s congressional delegation, the coalition emphasized the critical need to safeguard this healthcare program, which provides coverage for low-income New Yorkers who do not qualify for Medicaid.
