Open Door OAC Celebrates Lunar New Year with 53rd Anniversary Journal

On February 26th, CPC Open Door Older Adult Center (OAC) celebrated Lunar New Year and brought together community members, staff, and elected officials for a special event that honored the center’s rich history. A highlight of the celebration was the release of a commemorative journal, detailing the impact the center has made on older adults throughout its 53 years of service. The event also honored three leaders for their contributions to the community, namely, CPC co-founder Virginia Kee, Board Chair Chester P. Lee, and former NYC Department for the Aging Commissioner Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez.
