Paralympian, paratriathlete, and motivational speaker Rudy Garcia-Tolson spent an afternoon at CPC Chrystie Street School-Age Child Care Center on December 11th. He was able to share his inspirational life story as a double above-knee amputee through a partnership with Rising New York Road Runners.
On December 10th, 37 high school students from across the city gathered at CPC’s Queens Community Center to have their college application reviewed on-site by University at Buffalo admissions counselors.
Students from Hostos Community College in the Bronx visited CPC Chinatown Senior Citizen Center the morning of December 13th. More than 300 senior members joined this event.
CPC Open Door Senior Center celebrated 47 years at their Anniversary and Appreciation Gala on December 9th at Golden Unicorn Restaurant. The event honored community members and was attended by local elected officials, including Assembly Member Yuh Line Niou and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer.

On Wednesday, November 20th, Project Gateway (PG) facilitated a resourceful Financial Aid/FAFSA workshop at Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn. A total of 59 parents and high school students participated in this event.
CPC Asian Family Services, a program that provides multiple levels of services to keep families together and avoid placement of children in foster care, hosted a Holiday Party on December 8th with more than 80 individuals.
What do CPC school-age participants do on the weekends? Play chess, of course! On November 23rd, eighteen CPC kids participated in NYC Department of Youth and Community Development's (DYCD’s) 6th Annual Chess Masters Tournament
