CPC Member Makes History as First Asian American Appointed on NY State Council on Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee

On May 11th and 13th, Sing Tao Daily and World Journal published an article about Yulin Huang, a member of CPC's Special Needs Program, who was appointed to the New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) Advisory Committee. Huang is the first Asian American to hold this position. Her journey began when her mother sought support from CPC to access resources for her daughter with special needs. Through CPC-led initiatives, including English literacy classes and advocacy programs, Huang and her family not only acquired essential skills and support but also became active leaders dedicated to empowering other immigrant families facing similar challenges.
