On February 5th, CPC joined community partners and Council Member Alexa Avilés to meet with Commissioner Levine of the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Steve Mei, Director of CPC Brooklyn Community Services, highlighted how vulnerable members of the AAPI community often fall prey to bad actors due to their urgent need for essential services, from immigration and housing assistance to benefits access.
