CPC Celebrates Thanksgiving with Community Members

This Thanksgiving, CPC distributed more than 1,000 turkeys to older adults and families across New York City. This critical support ensured community members could celebrate the holiday with a nutritious meal, warmth, and dignity. Given the ongoing uncertainty around federal SNAP benefits, this direct aid is more vital than ever for a community still recovering from the longest government shutdown in history.
Beyond food distribution, CPC hosted celebrations across the boroughs. Our Brooklyn Older Adult Center partnered with Beacon Program at Pershing Junior High School for a major Thanksgiving event. In Queens, School-Age Child Care Center at PS 20 held a delicious potluck. In Manhattan, Chinatown Older Adult Center welcomed over 300 members to a Thanksgiving party complete with performances and raffles.
