CPC's Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services Hosts First Provider Appreciation Luncheon

On May 30th, CPC's Early Childhood Learning & Wellness Services (ECLW) hosted a Provider Appreciation Luncheon at 100 Feast & Lounge on East Broadway in Manhattan. Approximately 210 licensed family child care providers and assistants attended the event. This marked ECLW’s first luncheon dedicated to recognizing and celebrating early care and education providers and expressing our deep appreciation for their ongoing dedication to early education and child care.
May is both Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Child Care Provider Appreciation Month, making it a meaningful time for ECLW to honor the many early childhood educators who have long served children and families across our communities. Their continued partnership, commitment, and support are essential to strengthening the family child care system and ensuring positive outcomes for children and families.
The invited guests included licensed family child care providers who collectively represent a diverse, multilingual community, with fluency in English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Korean. These providers work closely with CPC ECLW through programs such as the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R), Infant Toddler Family Child Care Network (FCCN), Promise NYC, and the Korean Child Care Project (KACF), contributing significantly to the delivery of high-quality early childhood services.
During the event, the ECLW Director, Sumon Chin, shared key updates, including developments related to the 2K EDFY initiative, as well as updates on 3K and the Family Child Care Network. The Director also expressed sincere gratitude to attendees for the essential role they play in supporting New York City’s children and families and for their unwavering commitment to providing nurturing, high-quality care.
