Kathy Hochul, Grace Lee, and Brad Hoylman-Sigal Visit CPC Open Door Older Adult Center

On August 31st, CPC Open Door Older Adult Center welcomed Governor Kathy Hochul, Assemblymember Grace Lee, and Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal for a visit with our community. They toured the center, connected with program participants, and joined in a friendly game of ping pong. The visit offered an opportunity to learn more about the programs, services, and community that make Open Door a welcoming space for older adults in Chinatown.
Founded in 1972, Open Door serves more than 7,000 members each year. The center empowers older adults by providing essential services, nutritious meals, educational programs, and recreational activities in a safe and welcoming environment.
CPC is grateful to our guests for taking the time to meet with our community and learn more about the work taking place at Open Door. We also recognize the dedication of our staff, whose ongoing work helps ensure that Chinese American, immigrant, and low-income New Yorkers can thrive.
