CPC Advocates in Albany for Living Wages, AAPI Funding, and Immigrant Services

CPC brought community voices to Albany this legislative season.
We held our first-ever Dim Sum Legislative Breakfast and sat down with more than 30 State Senators and Assembly Members. CPC advocated for living wages for human services and home care workers, increased funding for AAPI community-based organizations, and expanded support for immigrant services and language access. We also stood alongside coalition partners in support of two statewide campaigns: #SNAP4All, which calls for food assistance benefits for all New Yorkers regardless of immigration status, and #CARE4IF, which advocates for sustained funding for accessible immigration legal services that keep families together.
Our Advocacy Leadership Fellows and youth advocates shared personal stories and policy recommendations on housing and SNAP access, grounding each ask in the real experiences of our communities.
The advocacy season was also a hands-on training ground for CPC's Advocacy Fellows, who gained direct experience scheduling legislative meetings, delivering testimony, and debriefing with partners.
